We Believe in Paid Leave • Campaign Brand Design

Through the Summer and Fall ‘21 Congress has been debating how to “Build Back Better” and Main Street Alliance-VT sought to ensure that paid leave for all be included, so that small business owners and their families have access to vital resources and care. I designed a compelling campaign brand that moves Vermonters to engage our lawmakers to pass paid family and medical leave. In creating the brand and visual voice we also created a suite of assets that could be adapted for use across multiple communications channels with a guide to their usage. The campaign included a strategic social media push paired with in-person events and postcard writing actions. In the last week of October 2021 Congress struck the Paid Leave offerings from the budget plan, but Vermont business owners are still fighting for it and the campaign was renewed in Fall 2023.
