The Vermont Afghan Alliance supports hundreds of Afghans who resettled in Vermont after fleeing their homeland when the U.S. withdrew from Afghanistan. As the organization grew, its web presence needed to too. We guided the team—new to web design and digital tools—through user journey mapping and information architecture exercises to identify needs and a strategy. Based on those findings, we designed and built a multi-page, multilingual Squarespace website. The site connects people to essential services and resources. We also created robust documentation, in order to empower the team to update and manage the site independently.
